The Italian Lifestyle

For Italians there is indeed, no life without style. Little point in achieving anything unless it can be done with imagination and that inevitable something that only the Italians seem to be able to add. Art, fashion, women, cars – the list goes on...

They can even make standing on a street corner effortlessly stylish. This is Italy, and it is also the philosophy behind the 7 Wonders villas. Everything from the overall plan, to the tiniest detail has been given our detailed attention, as befits a development at the very top end of the market.

the lifestyle

It also precisely the reason we have chosen to create these villas in the south of Italy. This is where the Italians play. This is where they relax, where they appreciate the history, the culture, the wonderful countryside, and where they choose to linger just little bit longer over a local dish and bottle excellent regional wine.

To put it simply – we think southern Italy has got it all. From its 800km of beaches to its medieval churches, or from its unique local cooking to its huge national parks. Italians in the know have been coming here for generations – now a select number of clients can live in the same charmed surroundings, and in the greatest Italian style and luxury, naturally.

The south really is a different world, despite being just over two hours flying time for the UK.The fact that it has been fought over by Saracens, Normans,Turks and Greeks, can easily be seen from the castles and the mix of cultural heritage they have left behind.

In this part of southern Italy you might choose to eat in a cool new brassiere, or you might opt to go mushroom hunting in the vast national park plateau that dominates the central backbone of this ‘toe’in the boot of Italy.Alternatively you may spend the morning tanning on the beach, only to be seen on the ski slopes of the plateau of Massiccio dlla Sila in the afternoon – year round.

That really is leisure and style working together. It may be something to do with the smell of the Bergamot oranges, the highest quality olives from most beautiful groves in the world, or maybe just the way the sun sets over the Ionian and Roman ruins.

This is Italy with hint of Greek traditions.A part of the Mediterranean where you can jump on a boat from Reggio Calabria and be Sicily for lunch, or have dinner in North Africa on a whim.Where the cultures left behind by so many races have created a flavourful cuisine that lingers on the palette, just as their heritage still lingers in the ancient buildings all around.

No wonder Italians in the know have been heading south for so long. The mix is unique and the style so relaxed. It’s impossible to pin down, but absolutely right when you feel it. We think it’s a wonder of the world.
